sssssssso i want to come back to tumblr pretty much, and i tried erasing all the posts from this account and starting over but i have so many its impossible, ive already deleted a whole bunch but theyre way too many to delete them all

and i tried making a new blog but it just felt wrong??? so i deleted it……. and now i’m going to try again

ok but there’s like, a gradation of offenses. ‘problematic’ is a fucked up term because it’s so vague. like, did they use casual cissexist language or did they say something violently transmisogynistic?
consciousness consumption of media is always important. it’s ok to enjoy media that isn’t always 100% with respecting identities/etc but ignoring that or trying to quiet discussion of those issues isn’t alright, yfm?
tl;dr: it’s good to not expect people to have a perfect track record, but ‘everything is problematic’ doesn’t grant you some magical permission to transcend dialog abt social justice

now that’s the kinda news i wanna hear
i made my cat listen to the audio clip in from the article + he loved it
I called my skittish kitty, Aislynn, into the bedroom and up onto the bed next to me, and I played the Cozmo’s Air for her. No reaction. But she’s my “suckler” kitty, who does nursing paws and drools on stuff when she is happy. So I put on Rusty’s Ballad instead. And she stopped moving, just staring at me like she’d found god. Then she closed her eyes. I played it again and she carefully laid down with her head near the speaker of my laptop. I paid for and downloaded the whole song immediately and halfway through playing the full song, my other cat came into the room and stared at the computer like she had also found god, and now they are both laying near me listening with their eyes slitted and their ears ticking.
